If you've ever been to Thailand, you know that this Southeast Asian country has some of the world's most stunning beaches.
Thailand's beaches have everything from strange rough limestone buildings precariously poised on the azure ocean to bright coral reefs whose occupants are best explored with snorkels and fins.
Thailand's many beautiful beaches, which range from those with palm trees to those on the coast of Phuket, make lounging on the sand a legitimate vocation.
Ao Nang
One of Krabi's most popular beaches, Ao Nang, is easily accessible from Krabi Town, the provincial capital. It has the comforts of home, the charm of a tropical beach resort, the ease of a small town, and the unique Thai hospitality.
To put it simply, Ao Nang is where most visitors to the Krabi Peninsula stay while they are there. It's the region's most commercialized and "Western" beach and a favorite with European vacationers.
The major oceanfront route is bustling with activity and is a great spot for families. Take advantage of some of the best Thai street food at the carts along the main street.
Koh Nang Yuan
Beautiful Koh Tao is close at hand; just a quick boat ride away from this unspoiled island. Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Nang Yuan consists of three small islands connected by a broad sandbar. You'll feel like you've entered a postcard once you see the postcard-perfect terrain, white sand beaches, and vibrant marine life.
Due to its diminutive proportions, Koh Nang Yuan is best experienced in a single day. It would help if you snapped some photographs because the view is stunning and does justice to the island's beauty.
Maya Bay, Koh Phi
Once a popular destination for snorkelers, beachcombers, and every other type of visitor imaginable, Maya Bay has been closed to the public as part of a conservation effort to aid the regeneration of local coral
However, after it reopens in January 2022, the green cliff-sheltered bay will be well worth the wait for its white sands, clean waters, and abundant marine life.
For those who think they've seen this beach before, it's because "The Beach" was shot on Maya Bay. The 11-day Bangkok and Iconic Beaches Tour includes a stop on Koh Phi as one of the highlights.
Phra Nang Beach
Ao Phra Nang has two small islands, coral reefs, and caves, in addition to its fine white sand and clear shallow water for safe swimming.
All of this is set against some of the most breathtaking cliffs in all of Krabi Province, made of magnificent limestone and providing natural protection from the scorching afternoon sun.
To unwind, Phra Nang is a great option. The two offshore islands mentioned above are fantastic for snorkeling and may be reached on foot during low tide by walking across a beach bar.
Chaweng Beach
There is no finer stretch of white sand than Chaweng Beach, the most well-known attraction on Koh Samui. The enormous bay has been a driving force in the expansion of the island's tourism industry for decades.
The northern end of this beautiful five-kilometer crescent is framed by rocky headlands, while offshore coral and the tiny archipelago of Koh Matlab fringe the southern end. On this 11-day trip through authentic southern Thailand, you'll see Chaweng Beach's fantastic swimming, a wide range of water sports, and various dining and hotel options.
In the middle of the year, when tourism is at its peak, the beaches of Koh Samui are crowded with happy tourists basking in the sun.
Railay Beach
Despite appearances, Railay Beach is a small peninsula with four separate beaches. For a good reason, Railay is one of the most popular beaches in Thailand. Located immediately to the south of Ao Nang Beach, Railay is a peaceful and unique sanctuary that can only be reached by boat due to its inaccessible mountainous surroundings.
On this little peninsula, built and kept alive by the ebb and flow of the tides, you may find stunning white sand beaches, towering limestone cliffs, views, coves, and a lagoon hidden inside the ridges.
Haad Rin
Haad Rin Beach, Thai The most famous beach on Koh Phangan is near the island's southern tip, where the Full Moon Party is held. There are two main beaches in Haad Rin, and they are named Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach.
In the areas between the beaches, you'll find a tangle of streets with places to eat and drink and pharmacies and discount stores selling swimwear. Under the sun, Haad Rin might feel oppressive. The town comes to life after dark when the taverns and clubs start pumping out the tunes.
